From the vineyard to the table
The Belisario Company was founded in 1971. Today it is an agricultural company of 300 HA vine grown and a wine cellar with a capacity of 30.000 H1. It is the biggest Verdicchio of Matelica wine producer. All of the vineyard are close to the wine cellar, at a maximum distance of ten minutes and are all held in the Alta Valle Esina. They directly harvest the vineyard, and each label has its own assigned vineyard.
Since 2002 the Company has a certified ISO quality system 9001: 2000; it is also certified for the wine making of grapes that are biologically harvested, with around 24 Ha of bio vineyard. The Alta Valle Esina is the difference in the flavour of our wines: there is a continental climate in the thermal and mediterranean excursions (43° parallel) during the placement.
This microclimate determines the great accumulation of aromas, the entire conservation of the acid set, a physiologically limited production, and a full, complete, and sometimes extreme maturation.
